Meeting with Sarah Teather

On Monday afternoon I met with Sarah Teather in her constituency office on Willesden Lane. We spoke about a number of things: blogging (needless to say), engaging with constituents, getting voice for unreported activities, technology as a barrier (for BELD!) and as an enabler (for local people) and also a little project I’ve been working on. Where did they get the idea for this from?

The House to Home exhibition organised by the Hansard Society at Westminster Hall yeilded some interesting - although hardly suprising given voter turnout figures - feedback from its 45,000 visitors. More than 80% of respondents felt excluded by Westminster politics. I had a poke around the online version of the exhibition.
