FUD review for July

FUD? Check wikipedia… Received the first campaign materials from Team YellowGold and Team Red since the elections for local government in May. Sorry for the blue tint on the scans, I think my scanner is broken. The BELD are thanking people for voting for them in Mapesbury and give people the contact numbers of their new local councillors. I won’t reprint them here though - surely you can get them from Brent Council (after 6 or 7 clicks) or from the BELD website (well actually you can’t find any info about your local councillors or FOCUS TEAM on the BELD website)....

helping more community interest groups

I’m hoping that this coming week will see two local residents associations get online with powerful internet based self-publishing tools provided by comwifinet. I’ll be posting links to their websites and to their Bonnet information pages as soon as they are active....

bosom buddy

This story got me posting as I’m a new father and my daughter is breastfed. Sarah was campaigning earlier this week with the NCT in support of their call for legislation to enshrine a woman’s right to breastfeed in public in England. The Scots have such legislation (must have been a devolved competancy) but in England and Wales breastfeeding in public is not protected. Both myself and my partner are in support of this legisation and support the NCT’s campaign....

Civic Reporter

I told you recently about the Civic Reporter application that I have been working on at Comwifinet. This coming week we are going to work on getting Brent Council to adopt this idea to support the Big Brent Clean-up campaign. Here’s hoping! Keep you all up to date…
